Let's go to Mizuna Island (Minna-jima)!

Mizuna Island is a 15-minute high-speed boat ride from Watakuchi Port in Motobu Town in northern Okinawa,Tokuchi Port is about 8 minutes by car from Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium.

Also known as "Croissant Island," many people enjoy snorkeling and swimming, even for small children and beginners, as they can look under the sea and see schools of colorful tropical fish.

Q. Is there parking available at the meeting place?

Yes, free parking is available in Watakuchi Port, the meeting place.

If the area around the high-speed boat waiting area (red-tiled building) is full, we ask that you park in an open area in the harbor or a short distance away.

Q. Is there a restroom at the meeting place?

There is one in the store (for both men and women) and another for men and women in the waiting area of the high-speed boat.

Q. What time will the meeting place be?

Please be at the store 30 minutes prior to the departure time of the outbound trip selected at the time of reservation.

Q. Are there showers, changing rooms, toilets, coin lockers, rest rooms, etc. on Mizuna Island?

There is a charge for one shower (100 yen/90 seconds), and fresh water is the only water available. There are seven separate showers for men and women, but they are crowded during peak season, so please use them early to avoid missing the high-speed boat on your return trip.

Separate toilets for men and women are located next to the shower rooms and at the waiting area for high-speed boat passengers. Coin-operated lockers are available next to the shower rooms for 500 yen for large lockers (60 rooms) and 300 yen for small lockers (48 rooms).

There is no rest room, but there is a waiting area on the high-speed boat where you can shelter from the wind, rain, and sun.

Q. Is there a place to have lunch on Mizuna Island?

As soon as you walk up the hill from the beach, you will see the parlor "Ti~da" and the beach house of Mizuna Beach on your right.

Two locations sell snacks (Okinawa soba/curry rice/taco rice/yakisoba/taco curry/alcohol/shaved ice), etc. (note: menu may be limited or Ti~Da-san may not be open before peak season).

Cup noodles, snacks, and other items are also sold at a store adjacent to the shower room. Vending machines are also available at two locations: the high-speed boat waiting area and the store.

Q. Do you have rental equipment such as parasols, floats, underwater glasses, etc.?

There is a rental counter on the beach operated by Mizuna Beach Co. Customers who sign up for this plan will receive a special 20% discount on all items from the regular price.

Q. Is there an inflator for inflating floats, etc. on Mizuna Island?

There is a compressor next to the shower room (in the room with coin lockers, etc.).

Q. Do I need to wear or bring anything to participate?

Dress is casual, but during the peak season (July 20-September 20), we recommend that you wear a swimsuit under your clothes beforehand.

Q. How long can I ride one type of marine sport?

Rides (Banana Boat/Big Marble/Thriller/)(including jessky [optional]) is approximately 10 minutes per event.

Q. Are marine sports safe for small children?

The speed of the rides will be adjusted to the rider's needs, so if your child is scared, please let our staff know before the ride (we will adjust the speed to a slower, less frightening speed).

I attended with my elementary school child and my husband. We were allowed to play on the Banana Boat, Big Marble, and Thriller. The kids were very happy and my husband and I had a great time! Thanks to you, we were able to move up our schedule and go to places we had given up on. Thank you very much. As for the activities, the banana boat swung me around more than I expected. The driver explained and cautioned us before we started. I felt it was considerate. But my son is a senior high school student, so he was happily swung around. We returned yesterday to Kanagawa, though. On the plane and in the car, he keeps saying he wants to do it again. It was a good memory.
