Mizuna Island is a 15-minute high-speed boat ride from Watakuchi Port in Motobu Town in northern Okinawa,Tokuchi Port is about 8 minutes by car from Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium.

Also known as "Croissant Island," many people enjoy snorkeling and swimming, even for small children and beginners, as they can look under the sea and see schools of colorful tropical fish.

In fact, of the many marine service providers in Okinawa Prefecture, only about 3 percent (roughly 3 out of 100 companies) have obtained “Maru-Yu” certification.

To receive “Maru-Yu” certification,Passed rigorous screening and on-site inspections by local policeIt is necessary to do so, and the following stringent safety management system is required.

Q. Is there parking available at the meeting place?

Yes, free parking is available in Watakuchi Port, the meeting place.

If the area around the high-speed boat waiting area (red-tiled building) is full, we ask that you park in an open area in the harbor or a short distance away.

Q. Is there a restroom at the meeting place?

There is one in the store (for both men and women) and another for men and women in the waiting area of the high-speed boat.

Q. What time will the meeting place be?

Please be at the store 30 minutes prior to the departure time of the outbound trip selected at the time of reservation.

Q. Are there showers, changing rooms, toilets, coin lockers, rest rooms, etc. on Mizuna Island?

There is a charge for one shower (100 yen/90 seconds), and fresh water is the only water available. There are seven separate showers for men and women, but they are crowded during peak season, so please use them early to avoid missing the high-speed boat on your return trip.

Separate toilets for men and women are located next to the shower rooms and at the waiting area for high-speed boat passengers. Coin-operated lockers are available next to the shower rooms for 500 yen for large lockers (60 rooms) and 300 yen for small lockers (48 rooms).

There is no rest room, but there is a waiting area on the high-speed boat where you can shelter from the wind, rain, and sun.

Q. Is there a place to have lunch on Mizuna Island?

There are three beach houses located up the hill from the beach where you can eat and drink (Okinawa soba, curry rice, taco rice, yakisoba, taco curry, alcohol, shaved ice, etc.).

Note: Before peak season, the menu may be small, so you can bring your own food (you will be responsible for taking home your own garbage).

Cup noodles, snacks, etc. are also available at the store adjacent to the shower room.

Vending machines are also available at two locations: the high-speed boat boarding waiting area and the kiosk.

Q. Do you have rental equipment such as parasols, floats, underwater glasses, etc.?

There is a rental counter on the beach operated by Mizuna Beach Co. Customers who sign up for this plan will receive a special 20% discount on all items from the regular price.

Q. Is there an inflator for inflating floats, etc. on Mizuna Island?

There is a compressor next to the shower room (in the room with coin lockers, etc.) for a fee (100 yen).

Q. Do I need to wear or bring anything to participate?

Dress is casual, but during the peak season (July 20-September 20), we recommend that you wear a swimsuit under your clothes beforehand.

Water sports are the absolute best!! The ocean around Minna Island is so incredibly beautiful—it totally got me hyped up!!! We got to try three different activities and had an absolute blast with my friends!! ★ Since there were umbrellas provided, we could take our time snapping photos on the beach—I’m seriously so satisfied!! You absolutely have to go!!! It was so much fun!!

Nothing but Instagram-worthy spots! The pure white sandy beaches and blue ocean of Minna Island were so picturesque that every angle looked like a postcard♪ I was so happy to take tons of super stylish photos with my friends while doing water sports☆ The photos of us relaxing under the beach umbrellas turned out really lovely, too—I came away with so many amazing memories! My kids really enjoyed the water sports, too. Since there were umbrellas set up, I was able to let them rest in the shade between activities, which gave me peace of mind as a parent. The ocean around Minna Island was also very beautiful, so I was very satisfied, but if I had to mention one thing, the wait to use the shower rooms was a bit long—it would be even better if that were improved.

I attended with my elementary school child and my husband. We were allowed to play on the Banana Boat, Big Marble, and Thriller. The kids were very happy and my husband and I had a great time! Thanks to you, we were able to move up our schedule and go to places we had given up on. Thank you very much. As for the activities, the banana boat swung me around more than I expected. The driver explained and cautioned us before we started. I felt it was considerate. But my son is a senior high school student, so he was happily swung around. We returned yesterday to Kanagawa, though. On the plane and in the car, he keeps saying he wants to do it again. It was a good memory.
