Q. How old do I have to be to participate?

Some plans allow children as young as 0 years old, although this depends on the plan. Most plans allow children from 4 to 6 years old, so families with children can enjoy the tour with peace of mind. Age restrictions are listed on the plan page, so please be sure to check before making a reservation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Q. What are the chances of seeing sea turtles?

Mizuna Island is known for its large population of sea turtles and relatively high encounter rates on boat snorkeling tours. However, we cannot promise 100% encounters because they are wild animals. The best time to encounter them is from May to October when the water temperature is warmer and they are more active. Our guides will take you to the points where the encounter rate is high, so please join us with high expectations.

Q. How much do you charge?

The price varies depending on the plan, but a snorkeling-only plan starts at 7,000 yen for adults, while a full plan including a ferry ticket, lunch, and parasol costs from 8,500 yen. The package plan with marine sports and parasailing starts from 13,000 yen. Detailed rates for each plan can be found on the Plan List page.

Q. Will the event be held even in bad weather or typhoons?

Even if it rains, the event will basically be held as long as there is no threat of thunderstorms. Once in the water, rain is not a problem. Squalls in Okinawa often stop after a short period of time, and in many cases it clears up afterwards. However, if visibility is poor due to a typhoon or heavy rain, which may interfere with boat operations or monitoring, the event may be canceled or the content may be changed. We will contact you as soon as possible to inform you of our decision on the day of the tour.

Q. Is it possible to make a reservation the day before or the day of the visit?
If there is space available, we have plans that can be reserved the day before as well as on the day of the reservation. Please feel free to contact us if you have a sudden schedule change or the weather looks good for tomorrow. Please note that popular plans may fill up early. Q. What do I need to bring for snorkeling?
A full set of equipment such as masks, fins, snorkels, and life jackets can be rented free of charge, so all you need to bring is a swimsuit. We recommend that you bring a towel, flip-flops, rash guard, hat, sunscreen, and anti-sickness medicine (for boat entry). Wetsuits and waterproof cameras are also available for rental.
Q. Can I participate even if I can't swim?
Even non-swimmers can participate safely. Life jackets are worn so that the body floats naturally in the water. Instructors provide careful support, so those who are not comfortable in the water or who are new to the sport can feel at ease. In fact, many participants say, "I can't swim, but I'm glad I joined! We have received many comments from people who can't swim but are glad to have joined the class. Please feel free to join us.
Q. Can I combine sightseeing with Churaumi Aquarium?
Of course it is possible! Motobu Port, where Mizuna Island is located, is just a 10-minute drive from the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. You can enjoy snorkeling in the morning and visit the aquarium in the afternoon, or take the ferry to Mizuna Island after the aquarium.
