Seawall and breakwater construction is currently underway on Mizuna Island, which may affect the scenery and water quality. The boat snorkeling points may be changed accordingly.

Frequently asked questions about this plan

Q. Are there shower toilets, changing rooms, and lockers on Mizuna Island?

Showers are available for a fee (100 yen / 30 seconds per minute) and are water showers that are integrated with the changing rooms. Toilets are located next to the shower rooms and at the waiting area for boat passengers.

Lockers will be 300 yen per day and 500 yen for large lockers.

*Lockers are limited.

Q. Is there a place to have lunch?

Up the hill from the beach, there is a parlor in a two-story wooden deck building that sells barbecue, light meals (curry rice/taco rice/yakisoba/ drinks/alcohol/shaved ice), etc.

Q. Do you have a parking lot?

Yes, of course, parking is available. Free parking is available in the parking lot at the port where we meet.

Q. Will the event be held even if the weather is bad, such as rain?

Even if it rains, as long as there is no threat of thunderstorms, the event will be held. Even if it rains, it is the same once you dive in the ocean. Rain in Okinawa tends to be squalls, so it often clears up suddenly.

The event will be held unless heavy rains cause poor visibility, hinder boat operations, or make it impossible for the beach warden to monitor the beach.

However, the plan and schedule may be changed or cancelled due to weather and ocean conditions or sudden deterioration on the day of the event.

Q. How many people can go parasailing?

Basically, the boat is designed for two or three persons, but the captain will decide at his/her discretion after checking the strength of the wind and the total weight of the guests on the day. *If the weight exceeds the allowable weight or is too light, the experience may be conducted with one or four passengers.

Q. Does parasailing end with a landing in the ocean?

The parasailing boats are equipped with winches that allow the rope to be hoisted up and down to the rear deck of the boat, so basically there is no need to get into the water.

*For safety reasons, it is recommended that you wear clothes that can get wet, as there are rare occasions when you may land in the ocean.

Q. How long does parasailing take and how long does it take?

The time required is 30-60 minutes, depending on the number of participants and the point where parasailing is to be done on the day.

The flight time per pair is approximately 7-8 minutes from the time they start up from the parasailing boat to the time they return to the boat.

Q. How high can parasailing go?

The length of the rope from the parasailing boat to the parachute is 150m to about 200m, and the height rises to more than 40m above the sea surface.
*The rope length may be shortened or lowered depending on the ocean conditions (wind strength, wave height) and the total weight of the customer on the day of parasailing in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable parasailing experience.

Parasailing had a lot of things like weather, waves, and equipment, but the staff's ability to overcome them! I was able to enjoy it without worries. The weather was cloudy, but we were able to borrow wetsuits so we could enjoy snorkeling without getting cold.
