What is Mizuna Island like?

Minnajima is a remote island on the western side of the main island of Okinawa.

It is located further away from Sesokojima, a remote island in the same direction.

Sesoko Island and the main island of Okinawa are connected by a bridge and can be reached by car, but the only transportation to Mizuna Island is by high-speed ferry.

Directions from Naha Airport and Watakuchi Port

Once you arrive at Naha Airport, head for Toguchi Port.

You can also rent a car or take a cab to Watakuchi Port, but in terms of cost, the Hanbaru Express Bus is the cheapest way to get there.

The Yanbaru Express Bus operates on the same schedule on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and anyone can board if seats are available.

Get off at the bus stop named "Motobu Museum Mae" and walk about 700 meters.

From Naha Airport, it takes about 2 hours including the time to walk from the bus stop.

From Watakuchi Port, it is a 15-minute transfer to the New Wing Minna, a high-speed ferry.

Advance reservation is not available for both Yanbaru Express Bus and Highway Ferry.

Note that during the summer tourist season and other times of the year, you can expect to wait a long time on the spot.
