Introducing the attractions and sights of Okinawa's main island and Mizuna Island.

Many people may think of Okinawa Prefecture as one of the best tourist prefectures in Japan, where you can encounter a tropical environment even though you are in Japan.
Okinawa Prefecture has many islands scattered over a wide area of ocean, and even within the same prefecture, the main island of Okinawa and Ishigaki Island, the center of the Yaeyama Islands, are separated by a distance of more than 400 km by the sea.
Even within such a large prefecture, the main island of Okinawa, which includes Naha City, can be called the center of the prefecture.
The main island of Okinawa boasts so many attractions that they cannot be counted on the fingers of both hands, and over the years, many people have come to love the island.
Have you ever heard of a remote island called Mizuna Island in Okinawa Prefecture?
Mizuna Island is very close to the main island of Okinawa, and is highly popular as a place where visitors can enjoy sightseeing together with the main island.
In this issue, I would like to introduce, in order, sightseeing to the main island of Okinawa and Mizuna Island!
Distance between Okinawa Main Island and Mizuna Island
The above mentioned Okinawa main island and Mizuna Island are close, but how far apart are they in reality?
In fact, Okinawa's main island and Mizuna Island are located very close to each other, about 1 km apart.
The reason why Mizuna Island is a popular tourist destination that can be enjoyed in combination with the main island of Okinawa is because of its surprising proximity.
Access to Mizuna Island from Okinawa Main Island
Mizuna Island is located in the western ocean from the main island of Okinawa, and to reach the island, one must take a boat from Watakuchi Port, which faces the ocean on the western side of the main island.
High-speed boats depart from Watakuchi Port, and the cost of a round-trip trip is 1,730 yen.
You can reach Mizuna Island in about 15 minutes by boat.
What is the main island of Okinawa like?
Having discussed the distance between the two islands, let us first look at the main island of Okinawa.
Okinawa Prefecture is the southernmost prefecture in Japan and is located far from Kagoshima Prefecture, the southernmost prefecture in Kyushu, but the main island of Okinawa, where Naha City is located, has a well-developed urban area and does not look at all like a rural area.
And yet, when you leave the city, the beautiful ocean and beaches are everywhere, and the island is filled with the magnificent nature nurtured by the subtropical climate.
The unique culture and historical sites that have been handed down from the days of the Kingdom of Ryukyu are also an attraction that should not be overlooked.
How to get to the main island of Okinawa
The main island of Okinawa is far from the mainland, and to get there, it is necessary to fly.
Because it is a large city, direct flights are available from airports throughout Japan, making accessibility very good.
It is important to note that the cost of travel increases during the summer tourist season.
When planning a sightseeing trip, we would like to be sure to consider the ups and downs of prices.
Attractions of the Okinawa Main Island
The main island of Okinawa is often featured on TV and in magazines.
You have probably seen some of these tourist attractions in the media.
Among the many attractions, the beautiful sea, delicious cuisine, and the natural beauty of the tropical environment are the most catchy tourist elements that deserve special mention.
Let's look at each of these elements one at a time, in order.
Spend a relaxing time in the beautiful sea!
The ocean of Okinawa is often described as blue and beautiful.
Its color is not just a metaphor, it is truly blue, or emerald green in color, gem-like brilliance.
The secret to this coloration lies in coral, a creature that is representative of the Okinawan sea.
Corals are creatures with a slightly eccentric ecology; they are cnidarians like jellyfish and sea anemones, but they perform photosynthesis in the sea.
Technically, photosynthesis is carried out by plants called zooxanthellae that live symbiotically in the body, but photosynthesis is a cycle of carbon dioxide and oxygen.
When this takes place in the ocean, the water quality is purified, and together with the effect of the minerals that are discharged at the same time, the ocean becomes more beautiful and transparent.
Coral sand, which is made up of dead coral bones that have been broken into minute pieces and turned into sand, also beautifies the ocean floor and beaches of Okinawa, helping to create the blue color of the sea.
The beauty of the Okinawan seascape, both in name and in reality, is based on coral.
Enjoy local delicacies!
Speaking of the main island of Okinawa, local delicacies unique to the area are also indispensable.
The unique food culture fostered by the long history of the Ryukyu Islands since the Ryukyu period sets it apart from other regions in Japan.
Many people may know Soki-soba as a typical gourmet dish, in which uniquely chewy noodles are served with pork tripe or soki (cartilage) and pork or bonito broth.
The menu also includes juicy (Okinawan-style cooked rice), chanpuru, rafte similar to stewed pork, and taco rice, to name just a few of the delicious dishes that are often served as a set.
In addition to the cuisine, there are many ingredients unique to Okinawa, such as brand-name agu pork, umi budou (sea grapes), and tropical fruits, all of which are full of flavor and local flavor.
Gourmet food functions completely as a single content, as you can choose from such numerous delicious meals at the well-stocked restaurants in downtown Naha City, or seek out hidden gems on the large main island.
Please come and find your favorite gourmet while feeling the spirit that has been passed down from generation to generation since the Ryukyu era.
The best relaxation in the great outdoors!
And the beautiful scenery of the main island of Okinawa is not limited to the sea.
The vast land area of approximately 1,200 square kilometers is dotted with numerous spectacular locations, ranging from lush greenery to bizarre coral-derived landforms.
The entire island is surrounded by the blessings of a mild and warm subtropical climate, and the trees and flowers are filled with a tropical atmosphere that seems to brighten and lift the heart.
If you take a deep breath and relax in the beautiful natural scenery, all the fatigue of daily life will surely be blown away!
Sightseeing spots recommended by locals
Now, there are countless attractive spots on the main island of Okinawa.
Since there is not enough time to visit all of them, we have carefully selected spots that are highly rated by the locals.
See five of the more diverse spots, from cityscapes to natural landscapes!
Churaumi Aquarium
To talk about sightseeing spots on the main island of Okinawa, it would be impossible not to introduce the Churaumi Aquarium, which is widely regarded as the most popular aquarium in Okinawa.
The Churaumi Aquarium is unique in that it introduces a variety of knowledge about the beautiful tropical sea that Okinawa is proud of in an easy-to-understand manner.
Incidentally, "chura" is read as "chura", an adjective meaning "beautiful, pure".
The word may sound familiar to those who have heard of the morning drama "Churasan" broadcast on NHK.
Recommendations
As the name implies, the Churaumi Aquarium offers a beautiful collection of exhibits that seem to be straight out of the beautiful Okinawan sea.
Let us introduce you to some of the most representative exhibits.
The "Coral Sea" tank, where coral can be seen in an ingenious arrangement that allows them to be illuminated by sunlight, is fantastically beautiful and is always crowded with people.
The world's largest fish, the whale shark, greets us with a surprising sense of scale, and the world's first successfully bred southern manta ray is a valuable exhibit from a global perspective.
Dolphin shows, popular with adults and children alike, are also put on, and the Okigondo and southern bottlenose dolphins put on a fun, free show in the pool outside the museum.
If you go to Dolphin Lagoon, you can watch the adorable dolphins to your heart's content!
Directions from Naha Airport
The three main routes from Naha Airport to Churaumi Aquarium are by rental car, bus, or highway bus, and the journey takes about 2 hours by expressway or 3 hours by ordinary road.
When using the car navigation system search for rental cars, it is easier to display routes if you search for words such as "Ocean Expo Park" or "Ocean Expo Park" rather than entering "Churaumi Aquarium.
Shuri Castle (in Kyoto)
An important part of experiencing Okinawa's history and culture are the numerous gusuku (castles) that were symbols of the Ryukyu period.
Gusuku sites scattered throughout Okinawa are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the category of "Gusuku and Related Properties of the Kingdom of Ryukyu.
The most famous of these Gusuku is Shurijo Castle, the most famous landmark on the main island of Okinawa.
Its vermilion gate and architecture are impressive, and many of you may have seen them in various media.
Recommendations
Okinawa Prefecture is now one of the prefectures of Japan, but it was previously the Kingdom of Ryukyu, a land of different history and culture.
Shurijo Castle, where you can feel the lingering scent of the years, is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the main island of Okinawa.
Although the main hall and six other buildings were destroyed by fire in 2019, Shuri Castle is a building that has burned down four times before, from which it has recovered many times.
Preparations for the reconstruction are steadily underway, and it will not be long before we will see the original appearance of the building.
In addition, a facility called Sonohiyanutakishimon, which was once a place of worship for royalty, still exists within Shuri Castle and is well worth a visit.
Even in the midst of reconstruction, the facility still has much to offer, so we encourage you to visit.
Directions from Naha Airport
The distance from Naha Airport to Shuri Castle is approximately 25 minutes by rental car.
When searching for routes with a car navigation system, it is recommended to look up "Shurijo Park".
If you use public transportation, get off at the bus stop "Shurijo Koen Iriguchi" and Shurijo Castle is right in front of you.
International Street
The downtown area of Okinawa's main island is Kokusai-dori, which offers plenty of global atmosphere.
Okinawa, with its U.S. military bases, is a very cosmopolitan place, and the mood is as if you are out of Japan, which is sure to excite your heart.
If you want to enjoy shopping and other activities, this is the place to go.
Recommendations
Kokusai-dori is an area with a large shopping street at its core, and is not just a place for stores, but also a trendsetter for Okinawa's youth culture.
It is also a social gathering place for Okinawan people, with many nightclubs serving alcoholic beverages and a collection of fashionable restaurants.
In addition, it is not simply a collection of many restaurants, but also a place where tourists can enjoy eating and drinking.
There is a wide range of souvenir shops, easy accessibility, and many lodging facilities in the vicinity.
It is highly recommended to use Kokusai-dori as a base for touring the main island of Okinawa.
Directions from Naha Airport
It is very close to Kokusai-dori from Naha Airport, and it is convenient to use the urban monorail "Yui Rail" as well as a rental car to get there.
With a rental car, travel time is about 15 minutes.
If you take the Yui Rail, get off at Kencho-mae Station or Makishi Station.
strand of hair on top of the head
Next, I would like to introduce Manzamo, a magnificent view created by Onna Village, the best resort area on the main island of Okinawa.
The beautiful East China Sea can be seen from the top of the 20-meter-high Ryukyu limestone cliffs of Manzakage.
The origin of the place name comes from a legend that a former king of Ryukyu left a phrase referring to this cliff as "hair enough for ten thousand people to sit on" or "a field enough for ten thousand people to sit on.
It is, so to speak, a scenic spot endorsed by the king.
Recommendations
The ocean seen from Manzakage is clear blue and jewel-like in color.
Especially on a fine day, you will encounter unimaginable beauty that will leave you speechless.
The view from the cliff top is also a major attraction of Manzakage.
Above Manzakage is a relaxing nature park with lots of grass and tropical plants.
With your gaze fixed on the spectacular view from the cliffs and the sea breeze blowing, be sure to lie down on the grass and relax.
A relaxing moment in the beautiful scenery will add a wonderful memory to a page of your trip to the main island of Okinawa.
Directions from Naha Airport
You can get there from Naha Airport in a rented car in about 1.5 hours on ordinary roads, or less than 1 hour on the expressway.
Manza-Mao is a very famous spot, so you can search for a detailed route by simply looking up "Manza-Mao" in your car navigation system.
If you are visiting by bus, get off at "Manza Beach Mae" and you will be able to reach Manza-Mao in no time.
Blue Cave
Located in Onna Village, the same village as Manzagae, the Blue Cave is one of the most unusual scenic spots on the main island of Okinawa.
This is a sea-eroded cave created when part of a cape born of Ryukyu limestone was cut away by the erosion of the sea, and although it is a cave, its interior is filled with sea water.
Sunlight shines into such a sea-eroded cave, and the light reflected off the sea inside the cave gives off a beautiful blue glow, partly due to the effect of the topography, which miraculously matches several conditions.
The cave is filled with an incredible blue light that is so natural that it is called the Blue Cave.
Recommendations
Many of you may have heard of the "Blue Cave" spot.
In fact, there are a number of spots around the world with the name "Blue Cave," and all of them have a special topography that makes the inside of the cave glow blue.
There are several spots of the same name in Italy, Greece, and in other parts of the country, where you can encounter beautiful blue colors.
However, the Blue Cave in Onna Village is one of the most popular of them all, and the reason is its accessibility and ease of play.
It is unique in that it is adjacent to a spot called Cape Maeda, which has a large parking lot and excellent facilities for easy parking at Cape Maeda.
At this Cape Maeda base, you can rent activity goods at the store and enjoy snorkeling in the cave's ocean.
Cape Maeda also offers activity tours at the Blue Cave, so even beginners can enjoy a fulfilling activity experience in a beautiful location!
Directions from Naha Airport
The easiest way to get from Naha Airport to the Blue Cave is to use a rental car.
It takes about one hour by expressway and one and a half hours by ordinary road, and the roads are relatively easy to find.
When searching for a navigation system, it is easier to find a route by using the name "Cape Maeda" rather than "Blue Cave.
If you are visiting by bus, get off at "Kuraha" and walk about 10 minutes to get there.
What is Mizuna Island like?
After checking out all about the main island of Okinawa, I would like to introduce Mizuna Island.
Let me first ruminate on the basic explanation at the beginning of this article: Mizuna Island is a small remote island located 1 km next to the main island of Okinawa.
Its area is only about 0.5 square kilometers, and its main topographical feature is the shape of the island.
Known as Croissant Island because of its crescent moon-like shape, the island's beauty-filled environment, along with its unique nickname, has endeared it to many people.
Directions from Naha Airport and Watakuchi Port
The gateway to travel to Mizuna Island is Yanicha, Motobu-cho, located north of Naha City.
When traveling from Naha Airport, rental cars or buses are the basic means of transportation. The approximate time required for a rental car is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes on ordinary roads and 50 minutes on expressways.
On the other hand, if you are traveling by bus, the Yanbaru Express Bus is recommended. If you get off at the "Headquarters Museum Mae" stop, it is a 10-minute walk to the port.
Local buses and express buses can be used, but are not recommended considering the physical strength and time required, as they require transfers and are 3- or 4-hour journeys.
After arriving at Watakuchi Port, take the high-speed boat to Mizuna Island, which costs 1,730 yen round trip and takes about 15 minutes.
Since the trip itself takes only a short time, no antisickness medication is required unless you are very weak.
One important note to know is that boats to Mizuna Island cannot be booked in advance.
Tickets to the island are only available on the day of purchase, so be sure to secure your tickets as early as possible if you plan to travel.
Why choose Mizuna Island?

Okinawa Prefecture is home to many attractive remote islands, not limited to Mizuna Island.
What is it that makes Mizuna Island such a popular tourist destination for so many people?
Of course, there are a number of reasons for this, including the attractiveness of the island itself, but one of the strengths unique to Mizuna Island is its linkage with sightseeing on the main island of Okinawa.
The proximity of the island, which is only a 30-minute round trip, makes it possible to take a day trip from the main island of Okinawa, and many visitors include a visit to Mizuna Island in the same itinerary as their main island tour.
Another big advantage of Watakuchi Port is that it is very close to the Churaumi Aquarium mentioned above, so you can enjoy a trip to Mizuna Island on the same day as the very popular Churaumi Aquarium.
In addition, as I mentioned that the boat to Mizuna Island is only available on the day of purchase, there are also many activity tours organized on the main island that include transportation to Mizuna Island and activities.
If you let a tour take care of your trip, you can enjoy sightseeing on Mizuna Island without any worries as long as you arrive on time to the meeting place.
There are many tour plans to choose from, so you can select the one that best fits your travel style.
Attractions of Mizuna Island
Mizuna Island is a small island with many unique attractions!
Let's take a closer look at the information on Mizuna Island, which continues to attract visitors.
Beaches with blue sea and white sand

The first thing visitors to Mizuna Island will see are beaches with jewel-like blue waters and coral-derived white sands.
The beautiful location, which seems to embody the scenery that many people expect from Okinawa Prefecture, is so wonderful that you can't help but let out a sigh of relief.
There is not only one main beach, but several spots to choose from.
There is a rich variety of beaches, from busy tourist beaches to secluded beaches and snorkeling beaches, so that one cannot play in a single day.
Enjoy marine activities!

Okinawa offers a wide variety of marine activities.
Of course, Mizuna Island also offers a wide variety of activities, from exhilarating to relaxing.
Mizuna Island is especially popular for snorkeling, and a major feature of the island is that several beaches offer different atmospheres of the ocean.
Whether you dive privately or join a tour, the best thing about Mizuna Island is that you can enjoy different aspects of the island.

Beautiful cobblestone streets
Another feature of Mizuna Island is its interesting location on the island.
If you look down at your feet while walking around the island, you will notice fashionable white cobblestone pavement.
These stone pavements are one of the highlights of Mizuna Island, and the sight of the tropical blue sky, white stone pavements, and roadside subtropical plants together is extremely photogenic.
Many people stop to take pictures along the way.
The entire island of Mizuna is filled with scenery that makes you want to snap the shutter.
Sightseeing spots recommended by locals
Following the main island of Okinawa, Mizuna Island has also picked up spots that are highly rated by the locals.
Three beaches with their own unique attractions are featured, so let's check them out carefully in order!
Suina Beach

We would like to start with Mizuna Beach, one of the most famous spots on Mizuna Island.
As its name implies, Mizuna Beach is the main beach of Mizuna Island.
It is located along the northern part of Mizuna Island, the outer part of the island that forms an arc in the shape of a bow, and is just a stone's throw from Mizuna Harbor.
Recommendations
Mizuna Beach is a long beach stretching along the northern perimeter, and its spacious site is fortunate enough to provide a resort atmosphere even during the summer months when Okinawan beaches tend to be crowded with tourists.
The beautiful blue ocean that only a remote island can offer is full of charm, and the sandy beach is fine enough to walk on with bare feet.
With a setting that could not be better for enjoying the atmosphere of remote island tourism, Mizuna Beach can be ranked as one of the top tourist spots in all of Okinawa.
Of course, there are also showers, toilets, and stores, and the park is staffed by a lifeguard and equipped with jellyfish prevention nets.
It is also the center of activities on Mizuna Island, and equipment for various activities can be rented.
Since many tours are offered, this is a spot you should not hesitate to visit when you visit Mizuna Island.
Directions from Mizuna Port
Mizuna Beach is located next to Mizuna Harbor.
The location is such that it takes less than a minute to get to the beach from the pier where the boats arrive, so it is unlikely that you will get lost.
Beach below the lighthouse
The second beach, under the lighthouse, is about 600 meters to the east on the same sandy beach as Mizuna Beach.
It may seem strange that they have different names for the same sandy beach, but the environment is so different between Mizuna Beach and the beach under the lighthouse that it is understandable that they are given different names.
If Mizuna Beach is a tourist beach, this beach is characterized by its secluded atmosphere.
Recommendations
The beach below the lighthouse is marked by the Mizuna Island Lighthouse.
The name of the beach below the lighthouse refers to the area of sandy beach that stretches below it, but there are not as many people here as at Mizuna Beach.
The reason why there is a difference in the same sandy beach lies in the difference in the quality of the facilities.
As noted above, facilities such as showers, toilets, and stores are available at Suina Beach, but there is not a single such convenience here.
Since there are no lifeguards, you have to take care of your own safety, and the convenience of the beach is greatly inferior to that of Mizuna Beach.
However, even with these disadvantages, the fact that the beaches are sparsely populated and allow people to spend time in a relaxed atmosphere is a major attraction.
In Okinawa, a very popular tourist prefecture, summer crowds are a perennial problem.
Despite not having to face that problem, the beauty of the ocean and the sand quality are as good as those of Mizuna Beach.
And yet, it is only 600 meters away, a distance that is not too difficult to travel.
If you are able to take care of your own safety, we recommend that you enjoy playing in the ocean here.
Directions from Mizuna Port
The easiest way to get to the beach below the lighthouse from Suina Harbor is to go down to Suina Beach and continue eastward for about 600 meters.
Or move to the village and follow the east-facing road from there.
As the lighthouse approaches, the beach below the lighthouse is just a short distance away.
Seagull Rock Beach
The third beach, Seagull Rock Beach, is an excellent snorkeling spot.
The rocks, led by the seagull rock that gives the beach its name, create a habitat for tropical fish and beautifully decorate the underwater scenery.
Although the sand quality and scenery of the beach is inferior to the top two, this beach is highly regarded by snorkeling enthusiasts.
Recommendations
The beach at Seagull Rock is not very large in terms of area, and the sand is coarse, so walking on it with bare feet can be painful.
If you want to enjoy general swimming, you may want to go to either of the beaches mentioned above.
However, it is the beach at Seagull Rocks that becomes a glorious attraction as soon as you decide to snorkel.
The undulating underwater terrain has created a rich ecosystem, and the landscape can be described in one word: a natural aquarium.
Why not enjoy the beauty of the sea that Mizuna Island prides itself on with your whole body?
Directions from Mizuna Port
If you want to go to the beach at Seagull Rock, you must go through the village once.
From there, if you follow the road stretching southward for less than 1 km, you can reach the beach at Seagull Rock.
Activities on Mizuna Island
As mentioned several times in the text so far, it is no exaggeration to say that activities are the best part of sightseeing on Mizuna Island.
On Mizuna Island, where you can encounter many activities, we would like to introduce a few that are particularly popular.
You can enjoy something you have played with before, or you can try it for the first time!

Speaking of Mizuna Island, snorkeling is a must.
Snorkeling is such an essential part of sightseeing on Mizuna Island that it is safe to say that it is the most popular activity.
Just by diving with a snorkel and other simple equipment, you can encounter the most beautiful seascape.

The appeal of snorkeling is that it is easy.
While this is an authentic activity that allows you to enjoy diving while breathing through a snorkel, there are few technical requirements.
You don't even need to be able to swim if you want to enjoy yourself in shallow water, and the great advantage of snorkeling is that you can enjoy yourself as much as you want.
Of course, it is a game in the ocean, so one must be on one's guard, but the beauty of snorkeling is that it can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from children to the elderly.
All equipment except swimsuits can be rented, so even if you visit on a whim, you can experience it right away.

SUP

Have you ever heard of SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding)?
This activity originated from surfing, and involves standing on a surfboard or a board specially designed for SUP and paddling through the ocean while maintaining balance.
It is very popular for its easy and enjoyable level of difficulty, yet it is an outstandingly photogenic and fashionable experience.

SUP has been growing in popularity in recent years with the rise of Instagram and other social media, but its history as an activity is not a short one.
The origin of SUP can be traced back to the surfers who gathered in Waikiki, Hawaii, and played with it in between surfing sessions to practice balancing.
From there, it gradually spread to non-surfers, attracting attention for its fitness benefits, and after becoming popular among celebrities in Europe and the United States, it took root as a common activity.
Many people are concerned about the degree of difficulty when they hear that it is derived from surfing, but SUP uses a large board, which is much more stable.
SUP can be enjoyed by men and women of all ages, and can be used in any location, morning, noon, evening, or night.
Especially in the evening, there are many tours specializing in sunset SUP, and the sight of the sun setting over the ocean with a brilliant Okinawan sunset in the background is a perfect Instagram image.
Not only in the evening, but anyway, SUP is unrivaled in terms of photographic quality.
It is difficult to take pictures by yourself during SUP, so if you want to preserve your photos, join a tour.
Many SUP tours include a photography service by the staff, who will send you the data free of charge after the tour.
It might be a good idea to inquire in advance whether photography services are available before deciding which tour to join.
The freedom of the tour is so appealing that some places even offer yoga on board tours, so why not take it easy and join in without any fuss?
parasailing

Parasailing, which allows visitors to look down at the ocean and islands from the sky, is another popular content on Mizuna Island.
Parasailing is an activity in which you are towed by a water bike and float 40 meters or more into the sky to enjoy the scenery.
From a height equivalent to a 14-story building, you can enjoy a thrilling and exhilarating view of the whole area.

Since all you have to do is to let yourself go at the speed and height, it may be more like an amusement park attraction than other activities that involve individual skill, whether large or small.
The fact that everyone can enjoy the same benefits is quite an attraction in travel, and it is nice to know that when several people visit, they are not affected by each person's suitability for the trip.
Looking down from a height of more than 40 meters, it is easy to see why the crescent-shaped island is called Croissant Island.
If you take the time to look at the beautiful shape of the island, you will be able to enjoy sightseeing on Mizuna Island with more affection.
Canoe/Kayak

Another activity I would like to introduce is canoeing and kayaking, where you can enjoy the ocean in a small boat.
You may have seen this in person or in the media, such as television or magazines.
This is a very easy activity, so anyone can easily participate.

There are no special rules for canoeing and kayaking as long as you understand at least minimal maneuvering, so you can take your time and enjoy your time at your own pace.
These are good for one person to ride alone, but they can also accommodate two people.
Whether you are a friend, a couple, a parent or a child, there is no better way to relax than to ride with someone close to you and enjoy the scenery together.
Both canoes and kayaks are highly stable and will not capsize in a slight wave or wind.
Life jackets are also worn for the ride, so even if you should tip over, there is no danger if you cannot swim, making this a highly safe activity.
There are no age restrictions as long as you ride with an adult, so it is perfect for riding with young children.
Canoeing and kayaking are the best ways to experience the beauty of the Okinawan sea, especially for young children who are not yet ready to participate in other activities.
Even if your child is still young, you can be assured that his or her beauty will be a memory that will last a lifetime.

summary
We have introduced tourist information about the main island of Okinawa and sightseeing information about Mizuna Island, which can be visited on a day trip from the main island of Okinawa.
Although they are separate islands, the presence of Okinawa's main island is inseparably important when discussing Mizuna Island.
If you go all the way to Mizuna Island, you should enjoy sightseeing on the main island of Okinawa, and vice versa.
You can also follow the national road all the way along the coast from Naha City to Watakuchi Port, which is a very beautiful driving route.
The sightseeing route in combination with Churaumi Aquarium is also very enjoyable, so please visit Mizuna Island when you visit the main island of Okinawa!
Thank you for taking the time to read this to the end.
